If you are grieving a recent loss, carrying the weight of prolonged sorrow, or facing your own end-of-life journey, this retreat is for you.
A Sacred Pause is a weekend of rest, reflection, and remembrance—an opportunity to gently tend to your heart in the company of others who understand. Whether you’ve experienced the death of a loved one, are walking with grief over time, or navigating your own mortality, you are not alone. Recent loss or prolonged grief is welcome here.Set in the peaceful, nurturing environment of our Center, this retreat offers a spacious and compassionate container to explore grief and dying as part of our shared human experience—held with mindfulness, care, and community.
Together, we will:
Engage in gentle mindfulness and meditation practices
Have the optional opportunity to share stories in supportive small and large groups
Meet individually with retreat facilitators, if desired
Embrace periods of silence and rest
Use art therapy and journaling to honor our sorrow
Explore what it means to live fully, even in the presence of death
Create personal rituals to mark your unique journey
This retreat may speak to you if:
You are grieving a recent death and feeling raw or unmoored
You’ve been living with grief for a long time and need a place to rest with it
You are facing your own end of life and seeking peace, clarity, or connection
You desire meaning, healing, and presence in the face of loss or mortality
You don’t need to have the words. You don’t need to be “okay.” Just come as you are.
“This was my first mindfulness retreat. Everything was exactly what I needed. Anita and Mark were the best teachers and hosts. They created a lovely atmosphere to learn and grow.”
